Natasha Prince made the alarming discovery at her Swinton home earlier this month. An electrician was carrying out checks on the building when he tripped a switch and needed to gain access to Natasha’s flat.
After close inspection, he noticed the 26-year-old's electricity meter had been connected to the meter for the communal block.
This included the hallway lights and intercoms for the whole building. The alarm was raised with the housing company immediately and the issue has now been resolved.
