Enthusiastic young Scouts from Burnside reaped the benefits of the great outdoors at a winter weekend camp recently.The 20-strong troop enjoyed staying at Lapwing Lodge in the Gleniffer Braes near Paisley, which was the 113th Burnside Cubs’ third camp of the year.But for many of the young people who attended the occasion was their first time away from their families and they all coped extremely well – gaining skills for life, while developing their confidence and resilience.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Everyone had a fantastic time trying archery, laser tag in the woods, nerf wars and various spooky crafts. They earned their Entertainer badge by creating Halloween themed sketches to perform, and by telling their Halloween jokes.Cub Leader Anne Small, said: “The Cubs enjoyed sharing their jokes and riddles, it was lovely to watch them all supporting and encouraging each other.
