Singer-songwriter Hamilton Leithauser rewrote the outro of Lana Del Rey's Norman F---ing Rothwell gem "The Greatest" for SiriusXMU Sessions on Wednesday, and it's totally on theme with the coronavirus-induced quarantine.Originally, Del Rey reminisces on doing nothing, digs at Kanye West, and "[hopes] the livestream's almost on" -- an all-too fitting tale for quarantine. "If this is it, I'm signing off Miss doing nothin' the most of all/ Hawaii just missed that fireball/ LA is in flames, it's getting hot/ Kanye West is blond and gone/ 'Life on Mars' ain't just a song/ I hope the livestream's almost on," she sweetly whispers at the end of her ballad.But Leithauser gives the last couple of lines a facelift with his fingerpicked guitar.
