A care worker who sexually abused an elderly resident with dementia has been jailed for public protection. Stanley Ekhator, 36, went into the woman's bedroom in the care home where he worked in the middle of the night.
He sexually abused her, before returning minutes later and having sexual intercourse with her. A judge described his crime as 'heinous' and branded him a danger to the public.
He still denies guilt after running a 'preposterous' defence at his trial, claiming that the woman had made advances towards him.
A jury saw through his lies and found him guilty of having sexual activity with a person with a mental disorder. Try MEN Premium for FREE by clicking here for no ads, fun puzzles and brilliant new features. Ekhator was acquitted of rape.
