A married couple cried in the dock as they were separated after being sentenced over a violent attack on two women in their 60s.
A court heard how Michael and Jemma Edwards attacked the pair at a Liverpool city centre pub after an argument had broken out.
They were dragged away from the two women, who are married, by other punters before being kicked out of the Lime Street Central pub.
But events turned violent once again when one of the two women went outside, as she was knocked to the ground and beaten. Louise Kenny suffered six separate fractures to her jaw and needed emergency surgery to insert titanium plates, the Liverpool Echo reports.
