A woman who has accused Benjamin Mendy of rape 'looked like a ghost' after the alleged attack, a jury heard. A friend of the woman gave evidence as the French footballer's trial continued at Chester Crown Court.
The 28-year-old, who played for Manchester City at the time of the allegation in October 2020, has pleaded not guilty. He also denies attempting to rape a second woman two years earlier. On the fifth day of the trial, jurors heard from a friend of the woman who has accused Mr Mendy of rape. The complainant, who is entitled to anonymity, is known as Woman Two in press reports of the case.
The witness said she attended a bar in Cheshire with some friends, including Woman Two. Mr Mendy was also present with his 'manager' and another man, jurors heard.
