Woman 'shocked' after washing grapes - and urges others to always do the same

It's common knowledge that you should always wash your fruit and veg before eating it, but one woman has discovered just how dirty one particular fruit can really be.

TikTok mum Amy Hitch was trying out a brand new gadget for giving fresh produce a good scrub, and decided to give it a go with a bunch of grapes she'd purchased earlier that day.

But she got quite the shock after the piece of equipment had set to work, and has taken to social media to warn others that it's vital to wash grapes every time as she couldn't believe the results she saw.

The Mirror reports that Amy made a short TikTok in which she tried out the cleaning machine. But first of all, she filled a clear bowl up with water from the sink and then added her grapes. "You guys, I'm so sorry, but I have to share this," she warned.
