A woman decorating her home for Christmas has shared a video on social media that the ultimate hack to keeping your festive decorations in place.The savvy social media user, who goes by @rebeccasomervillex on TikTok, shared her festive hack with the caption: "A Christmas hack I wish I thought about sooner!

Probably seems like common sense, but you learn something new everyday!"In the video, the woman shows herself holding a bunch of cable zip ties that are typically used for general DIY projects, and things such as gardening and construction.She said: "I was thinking about how to put the garland up on the stairs without twisting it around, and I just put zip ties!"The decorator then showed off her garland that is sitting pretty on her stairs, with the cable ties through the decoration and then around the bannister, and tied off underneath.

The woman noted that it is "so much better", as she pans the camera to her partner who is admiring her work, as he added: "So much better babes, you are a genius!"She then explained: "It probably seems like common sense, but I didn't think of it until this year.
