A man was rushed to hospital after five masked thugs forced their way into his home and attacked him with a weapon earlier today.
The 22-year-old was injured after being set upon in Paisley, Renfrewshire, before his attackers fled the scene. Police Scotland said the gang stormed his home, in the town's Morar Drive, in the early hours of December 24.
He was taken to the town's Royal Alexandra Hospital. He received treatment for his injuries and has since been released. A probe into the 12.30am attack is now underway, with officers appealing to the public for information.Detective Constable James Campbell of Paisley Police Station said: "Our investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this attack, and to identify and trace the men responsible."The suspects wore face masks with blue or black clothing.
