A Bolton woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 74-year-old man. Roger Leadbeater died following an incident in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 11pm on Wednesday (August 9) off Shortbrook Close, in the Westfield area of the city.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Emma Borowy, of Fearnhead Close in Bolton, has today (Sunday) been charged with murder.
She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court today. "Roger doted on his family and was a good, hard working and decent man," the statement added. "Even at 74, he still worked for Sheffield City Council, driving children to school with special needs." In yesterday's statement, Detective Chief Inspector Andrea Bowell said police were 'working around the clock to piece together the circumstances of what happened' as she moved to reassure the community.
