A pensioner is in a 'serious' condition in hospital after being hit by a car on a Scots street. The 79-year-old woman was rushed to hospital after being struck by a silver Peugeot 208, being driven by a 42-year-old man, on Coatbank Street in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire.
Cops are appealing for information and witnesses after the incident on Thursday. The woman was using a pedestrian crossing near to the junction with the Faraday Retail Park.Police and Ambulance attended and she was taken to the University Hospital, Wishaw but later transferred to University Hospital, Glasgow.
