Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Woman, 40, arrested as police scrambled to stabbing on quiet estate
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA woman has been arrests after a man was stabbed in an early hours attack in Salford, police have confirmed. Emergency services were scrambled to Bickershaw Drive in Walkden at 2.15am after what's thought to have been a domestic incident.
Today - as she was being questioned by detectives - a blue forensics tent was pictured on a street with roads on an estate also cordoned off.
Tactical Aid Unit officers were also pictured carrying out a fingertip search. A 40-year-old woman has been arrested and remained in police custody.
Officers said the woman was arrested in Walkden. Police chiefs said despite the arrest, an investigation was ongoing and revealed that thankfully, the man's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
