Man arrested as emergency services scrambled to scene of crash

A man was arrested on suspicion of 'failing to provide a sample' after a crash in Droylsden in the early hours. The smash happened on Moorside Street at around 12.10am today (August 1).

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene. A cordon was put in place across a stretch of the road as emergency crews responded.

His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, police added. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "We were called at around 12.10am this morning to reports of an RTC on Moorside Street.
