A Manchester university student who cheated death when she was left with horrific injuries in a hit-and-run is now more determined than ever to become a surgeon.
Molly Turner, 22, was on a night out in the city when she was hit by a car as she crossed the road. She suffered a string of horrific injuries, including a broken collarbone and shoulder, a fractured pelvis, and internal damage to her organs.
Medics had to 'act fast' with Molly in a 'danger zone' and a life-threatening condition, before she underwent 12 hours of emergency surgery and spent two days in a coma.
She then required three further operations on her shoulder and pelvis during her six-week hospital stay. Recalling the incident, Molly said: "A group of us were on a night out when I decided to walk home alone after becoming separated from my friends, which I know in hindsight doesn’t seem wise.
