Wishaw photographer hailed for her stunning snaps of nature and wildlife

A Wishaw photographer has been hailed for her stunning snaps of nature and wildlife in and around her home town. Mum-of-three Angie Reynolds was awarded third place in the Environmental Category of this year’s Scottish Nature Photography Awards - the second year in a row she has claimed the accolade.Angie’s image “Tangled”, which shows cow hair wrapped in barb wire, will be on display in the touring exhibition later this year, as well as being printed in the yearly portfolio.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Speaking to Lanarkshire Live this week, Angie said: “I was down at Baron’s Haugh nature reserve in Motherwell and came across the barb wire so I snapped away and that was the result. “Most of my pictures are taken in the local area whether it’s at Baron’s Haugh, Perchy Pond in Wishaw or Strathclyde Park.“It’s great to be shortlisted again after getting third place last year.”Angie combines looking after her three children with her passion for photography.Although part-time, Angie sells her work online, at various markets throughout the year and at two venues in Lanarkshire.As well as getting out herself to photograph the wildlife, Angie enjoys being of Wishaw YMCA Camera Club sharing her
