Pupils from a Wishaw high school scooped the winners award at Lanarkshire schools public speaking competition.The Lanarkshire Lieutenancy hosted a very successful ninth annual Public Speaking Competition for schools across the area, held at the historic Rutherglen Town Hall.The event saw impressive performances from pupils representing Hamilton College School, St Aidan’s High School from Wishaw, St Maurice’s High School from Cumbernauld, and Uddingston Grammar School.In teams of three, pupils delivered thought-provoking speeches on “Citizenship in Our Schools and Community” and skilfully responded to questions from their peers, showcasing an exceptional standard of public speaking and critical thought.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
