Schools across the UK are shutting their doors as the Met Office issues warnings of hazardous conditions due to an arctic snow blast.The threat of snow is causing disruption, with some schools already announcing closures for this week.

Snowfall has begun in certain areas, prompting the Met Office to issue yellow weather warnings throughout the UK. Areas in the Highlands, including Scotland, Aberdeenshire, and Stornoway, have already seen snow, and many parts of the UK, including Yorkshire and Derbyshire, have been hit by an arctic blast overnight.
