Willian is said to be 'upset and offended' by Chelsea's limited attempts to keep him at the club. The Brazilian forward is expected to seal a free transfer to London rivals Arsenal in the next week after spending seven years at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea were not willing to offer Willian the new three-year deal he was demanding as they stuck to their policy for players over the age of 30.
Instead they tabled a two-year contract but Willian - who turns 32 next week - has snubbed the offer. According to ESPN, Willian feels Chelsea have showed a lack of desire to retain his services, hence his decision to seek pastures new.
