Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City flop John Stones, even if they are successful in their efforts to land Brighton ’s Lewis Dunk.
The Blues are being linked with a £40million move for Seagulls defender Dunk as Frank Lampard looks to bolster his leaky defence for next season.
The 28-year-old was a boyhood Chelsea fan and would likely jump at the chance of moving to Stamford Bridge if the opportunity arose.
According to The Mirror though, the club could also make moves to sign Stones, even if they manage to sign Dunk. The report claims that Chelsea are considering a loan move for the 26-year-old, who is still highly rated by the club’s hierarchy.
