Wigan pay tribute to supporter's dead duck during win over Portsmouth

The bird, called Keith, died earlier in the week, and was remembered on the big screen at the DW Stadium as the club held a moment of applause.

Keith belonged to Latics fan Daryl Ravden, who shared the unusual moment on Twitter, writing: “Our big lad on the screen at footie”.

Keith rose to prominence ahead of the game when some Wigan supporters mistakenly thought a WhatsApp message saying “Keith is dead” referred to a fellow fan who has been fighting cancer.
