But we are turning back towards the handmade: according to a report by the Crafts Council in May, more than 25 million handcrafted objects were sold in the UK in the previous year, with seven out of every 10 adults buying something solid, beautiful, unique and timeless.In a climate where many are starved of touch, a tactile, handmade item can have a moving personal impact.
