Manchester United will leave the Amex Stadium this afternoon wondering what might of been had VAR not chalked off Alexandro Garnacho's strike in the 70th minute..

The Red Devils were beaten 2-1 by Fabian Hurzeler's Brighton side with Joao Pedro scoring at the death to maintain their impressive start to the campaign.

The Red Devils thought they'd grabbed an important goal with just 20 minutes of the game remaining after a brilliant counter-attack, working the ball out to Bruno Fernandes in space on the right-hand side of the pitch, before combining well with Amad Diallo.

The Portuguese playmaker fizzed a ball into the box with Joshua Zirkzee sliding in to try and get on the end of it, but missed the ball.
