And Paul became one the show's standout stars due to his rows with his fellow stars. He even returned for the second series in 2006.
But the years that followed were not easy for the Essex-born star and in February 2019, Paul revealed on The Jeremy Kyle Show that he had been in rehab 17 times.
Paul now lives in Hertfordshire, running a drama club for local children and is dad to five-year-old son, DeNiro. Adam shot to fame when he took over the role Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street back in 1997.
