Greater Manchester is braced for the elements with strong winds and heavy rain set to batter the region. Three weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office over the last 24 hours.
They all cover Greater Manchester at various points from this afternoon (December 5) until Sunday morning. Two of the warnings affect Greater Manchester today.
The first is for heavy rain, coming into force at 2pm this afternoon and lasting until 6pm today. The second is for wind, coming into force at 3pm today and remaining until 3am on Friday. A cloudy and grey morning will make way for periods of rain, which are heaviest in the afternoon. Some parts of Greater Manchester will see stronger wind gusts and heavier rain than others.
