Tottenham Hotspur fans will be forced to wait until October to see Gareth Bale make his first appearance for the club in nearly seven years because he is carrying a minor knee problem.
The Wales star picked up the issue while on international duty with Ryan Giggs' squad earlier this month and his Spurs medical ahead of a one season loan return has determined that he could miss up to four weeks of action as a result.
A report from the Telegraph claims that Bale will be absent until after the next international break, which means he may not make his second Tottenham debut until Spurs' clash with West Ham on October 17 or Burnley on October 24.
