Brits are facing huge disruption in the build-up to Christmas, with strict rules set to limit gatherings, the Prime Minister has announced.
Boris Johnson today confirmed that shops will reopen across England when the country comes out of lockdown next week - meaning it will be possible to go Christmas shopping wherever you are.
But a tougher tier system will have a deep impact on socialising, with traditional Christmas meals looking increasingly unlikely.
The PM said Christmas "dispensation" measures are being drawn up for the days around December 25, aimed at ensuring families and friends can see more of each other.
