England schools won't be ordered to shut early for Christmas to protect elderly

Boris Johnson has confirmed there are no plans to close schools early ahead of Christmas. Some schools in England are opting to shut early to allow a safe period of time before kids see elderly or vulnerable relatives during the holiday.

A group of schools had been planning to send children away early to continue lessons from home ahead of the festive break. But on the question of schools sending pupils home earlier this year today, the Prime Minister said he was not considering it at this stage. What do you think of this story?
