What to Watch the Week of August 13: The Summer I Turned Pretty's Wild Finale

The Summer I Turned Pretty comes to an end this Friday as we say adieu to Cousins Beach—, that is. Still, it’s hard to say goodbye to these characters now that Aunt Julia is acting like a rational human being and the dust is finally settling at Susannah’s beach house.

But while real estate matters are coming into clearer focus, certainly is not. At the end of last week’s episode (#207, titled “Love Affair”), Conrad—who is still and was about to tell her—spotted Belly and Jeremiah making out in front of the car.

Oof.“It gets messy,” Chris Briney (who plays Conrad) tells Glamour. “And they still have to get home [from the college campus].” (Jeremiah) agrees, explaining that what follows is “so messy…it’s the kind you take home with you after they yell ‘cut’ messy.” As for what that means, well, you’ll just have to wait until the finale airs, and we can talk about it come Friday.

In the meantime—and on a much lighter note—in case you were wondering if the two onscreen brothers ate all those McDonald’s cheeseburgers in the last episode, the answer is yes, for the most part. “We bit like eight of them I think,” Briney says. “I was so hungry, it was a really late day, so I think I actually ate [a full] one after we wrapped.”“I haven’t eaten McDonald’s in years, but I was like, ‘That burger looks delicious right now,’ even though they were cold by the time we ate them,” Casalegno adds.
