Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Amid the excitement of the Oxford University vaccine being between 70% and 90% effective - a jab that’s cheaper and easier to store than Pfizer’s version - rules will still need to be followed in the weeks leading up to December 25.
England will once again return to the tiered lockdown system on December 2 after four weeks of national lockdown, but this time more areas are expected to be in higher tiers which in turn are expected to have tougher restrictions.
In return, coronavirus rules are due to be briefly relaxed over Christmas, but those details are not expected until Tuesday.
