Wet-led pubs that have been forced to close or had their trade severely reduced by coronavirus measures will receive extra cash from the Government.Boris Johnson announced the news to MPs today, saying the money is there to 'recognise how hard they have been hit'.Pubs that don't serve food have to remain closed in both Tier 2 and Tier 3 areas from tomorrow.As national lockdown ends, that means that the majority of wet-led pubs across England aren't able to reopen.The Prime Minister has today announced that each will receive a one-off payment of £1,000.Mr Johnson said: "Today we’re going further, with a one-off payment of £1,000 in December to wet pubs – that’s pubs that do not serve food."Recognising how hard they’ve been hit by this virus.
