Rio Ferdinand has doubled down on his glowing assessment of Casemiro while highlighting the unique qualities he will continue to bring to the Manchester United team.
Casemiro, 30, was signed from Real Madrid this summer and was finally handed his first Premier League start on Sunday night.
It came during a 2-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park as Casemiro made a telling contribution. After recovering from an early mistake in possession - which led to Alex Iwobi opening the scoring - Casemiro laid on an assist for former Real teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to secure the three points with his 700th club strike.
