Rodrigo Possebon fulfilled a childhood dream when he joined Manchester United from Internacional in January 2008 for a sum of around £3 million, just before he turned 19.
Over the next two-and-a-half years, he only played eight first-team matches. But United were then the reigning European champions and had Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs all gracing the midfield - it was always going to be tough to break through into that team.
And when Possebon got his chance, he was hit with horrendous bad luck. Injury Possebon had the chance to shine when he was handed his debut in a League Cup tie against Middlesbrough in September 2008.
