West Lothian butchers Hugh Black and Sons have thanked their loyal customers after tasting success at a prestigious awards ceremony.Hugh Black and Sons won three prizes at the World Scotch Pie Championships including a diamond award in the hot savoury category for their premium chicken and ham hough pie, along with a silver accolade for their stew pie in the same category.The family-run company, which has has shops in Bathgate, Whitburn and Armadale, as well as a factory in Bathgate, were also delighted to learn their chicken and ham hough pie went on to win the coveted MacLeans Cup, awarded to the most outstanding speciality savoury product.That prize was chosen from all of the category winners by head judge Ian Nelson.The company’s
