West Ham will reportedly turn down any attempt by Chelsea to offer Michy Batshuayi and Ross Barkley as part of a deal to sign Declan Rice.
And the Hammers remain clear that they have no intention of selling the highly-rated midfielder this summer. Rice has been heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium recently with the Blues and Manchester United thought to be his most likely destination.
But with David Moyes steering West Ham clear of relegation over the last few days the club are in more of a position of strength than before.
Chelsea have already spent big this year with the acquisitions of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, while they are believed to be closing in on a deal for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.
