Chelsea have spent close to £250million this summer on the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell, as Frank Lampard bids to turn his side into Premier League title contenders.But the Stamford Bridge have been expected to make one more move before the transfer window shuts, with Hammers midfielder Rice seen as the final piece of the jigsaw.Chelsea boss Lampard is believed to view Rice as long-term solution for the defensive midfield position, with the 21-year-old's versatility a major plus as he can also cover at centre-half.West Ham have slapped an £80m price tag on Rice, which the west Londoners have so far not coughed up.If Chelsea do make a late move for their former academy player, it would leave West Ham needing to bring in.
