Given their £200million splurge over the summer, Chelsea were somewhat quiet on transfer deadline day. There were no new arrivals, while Jorginho, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Fikayo Tomori all stayed at Stamford Bridge having been linked with moves away.
Antonio Rudiger also stayed put despite falling out of favour under Frank Lampard and amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur. There were two departures, however, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Malang Sarr secured loan moves to Fulham and Porto respectively.
While the Blues can be more than happy with their business, the club are free to sign players from the lower leagues in England until October 16.
