Chelsea star Edouard Mendy has provided an injury update after returning early from international duty. Kepa Arrizabalaga was hoping to be given a starting spot for the next match at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues face Southampton next Saturday in the first match after the international break. Mendy was signed by Frank Lampard during the transfer window to solve his problem between the sticks.
Kepa had a dismal year, as Chelsea conceded 54 in the Premier League - the most in the top ten last season. It saw a move accelerated for Mendy, who made his league debut in a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
