Heavy rain and thunderstorms are set to hit Greater Manchester this weekend as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning.
The warning - which covers all of Greater Manchester as well as most of England and Wales - will come into force at 12am on Sunday (June 18).
It will last all day, until 11.59pm. It’s predicted that heavy rain and thunderstorms will bring a ‘chance of disruption’ to parts of England and Wales as well as risks of flooding which could lead to ‘difficult driving conditions and possible road closures’. In an update, the Met Office have said a few outbreaks of ‘thundery rain’ are possible overnight this evening (June 17) but the main likelihood of heavy showers and thunderstorms are during the afternoon and evening on Sunday (June 18).
