Abbott Elementary and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia has been released – check it out below.News of the unconventional shared episode between the two Philly-based sitcoms was announced back in October when It’s Always Sunny star and co-creator Rob McElhenney posted a photo of himself, co-star Charlie Day and Abbott star/creator Quinta Brunson.The one-off show will air on ABC – the home network of Abbott – on January 8, and now the first trailer for the episode has been shared.

It briefly teases interactions between the two shows’ respective casts, set to Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock’s ‘80s hip-hop classic ‘It Takes Two’.Watch the 30-second trailer here:The episode will be the ninth instalment of Abbott Elementary’s fourth season, and in October, the show’s executive producers Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker explained that the crossover will include all of the cast of both shows. “We got the whole gang, the ‘A’ story, ‘B’ story, ‘C,’ ‘D,’ it’s all them,” Schumacker said.“Charlie Day’s character has a pretty significant storyline in our episode,” he added. “It was kind of a joke at first, that the two shows should cross over.
