Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Following the breakout success of Boygenius in 2023, and its three members laying relatively low in 2024, Lucy Dacus is the first member of the trio to officially announce a solo album, her first since 2021’s acclaimed “Home Video.” Her fourth full-length effort on her own, “Forever Is a Feeling,” will be out on the Geffen label March 28, and will be followed by a monthlong national tour in April and May.

The first video promoting the project, for the single “Ankles,” is out today. It has Dacus creating some minor havoc on the streets and subways of Paris in a florid red gown, accompanied by actor-model Havana Rose Lui, portrayed a security guard whose real function becomes apparent in the video’s final scene. “Forever Is a Feeling” will sport an all-star guest list, with the other two members of Boygenius, Phoebe Bridgers and Julian Baker, in tow, along with Hozier, Madison Cunningham, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Jake Finch, Collin Pastore and Melina Duderte.

The 13-city Forever Is A Feeling Tour will begin April 16 at the Met in Philadelphia and wrap up May 14 at the Greek in Los Angeles.

Other stops include shows April 23 at Radio City Music Hall, April 29 at the Ryman in Nashville and May 12 at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
