Wanted man arrested after patrols stepped up near popular walking spot

Police patrols were stepped up near the Fallowfield Loop in Levenshulme last night (Tuesday) following reports of drug use and drug dealing in the area.
Officers arrested the wanted man near to Broom Lane and Crayfield Road. The 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply, dangerous driving and disqualified driving.

A post on the GMP Fallowfield & Levenshulme Facebook page last night said: "Neighbourhood Officers were carrying out proactive patrols in the Broom Lane/Crayfield Road area this evening, following concerns raised by local residents about antisocial behaviour and drug use/dealing in the area, especially around the entrances and exits to the Fallowfield Loop. "This has resulted in a 24 year old male being arrested as he was wanted by police for Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply, Dangerous Driving and Disqualified Driving.
