Virgil van Dijk has revealed that he reckons Liverpool's full-backs Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold would have some catching up to do if it came down to a straight sprint between the Reds' back four.
The Dutchman was answering questions in a Twitter Q&A on Tuesday night while on coronavirus lockdown when the question arose.
One Kopite asked: "Who's winning a 100m sprint between yourself, Gomez, Trent and Robbo? #AskVirgil" "Either Joe or me," replied Van Dijk, implying that the two full-backs would be left trailing in the central defenders' wake.
The former Celtic and Southampton man could technically be spot on, after he was officially named as the fastest player in the Champions League last season.
