Violent clashes with notorious drug cartel leave 9 gangsters and police officer dead

The CJNG has become the country’s dominant gang and traffics huge quantities of drugs into the US.Local media reports that eight gangsters were killed, and another found dead inside a truck, following the gunfight.A state police officer later did in hospital, according to reports.Soldiers and National Guard officers scrambled to back up police as they were ambushed near Santa Rosa De Lima, a cartel stronghold.Swathes of armed gangsters attacked law enforcement in vans, SUVs and pickup trucks.There were a total of five firefights with police confiscating guns, grenades and Molotov cocktails.They also discovered 47 doses of crystal meth and signs.
