Vin Diesel‘s character Dominic Toretto is getting a new set of wheels for Fast 9. A representative for Universal Pictures told Insider that the Fast & Furious team spent over $1 million to build a custom mid-engine Dodge Charger for the latest installment in the franchise. Click inside to read more… The car’s production was overseen by Dennis McCarthy, who has acted as the vehicle supervisor for eight of the previous films as well. Dennis built the car, which combines “combines old and new technology”, with veteran mechanics and his team at SpeedKore according to the film’s production notes, working on “several hybrid versions” of the car.
