Van flips in Glasgow city centre as man rushed to hospital

A van has overturned in a horror crash in Glasgow city centre this afternoon. Emergency services scrambled to West George Street after the accident happened outside Gamba at around 11.50am on Wednesday, October 26.

Images taken from the scene showed a white van overturned, lying on its side in the middle of the road.Mercy crews could be seen in attendance with four police vehicles, an ambulance and a fire engine at the scene.

Worried passers-by were pictured watching on as officers carried out enquiries.The road was blocked off while emergency services worked at the scene, remaining closed until recovery was arranged.Police confirmed the crash was between two vehicles.

A person was taken to hospital as a precaution.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended a crash at West George Street in Glasgow involving two vehicles at around 11.50am on Wednesday, October, 26.
