Fire crews are currently battling a huge blaze in an abandoned building in Dundee City Centre tonight. Emergency services raced to Barrack Street, Dundee at around 6pm after reports of a fire in the old building, which is believed to be the former Robertson's furniture shop.
Locals say flames can be seen from all over the city this evening, as firefighters attempt to get the blaze under control.Police have closed several surrounding roads as emergency services deal with the incident.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Saturday police were called to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, at the scene of a fire on Barrack Street.“Emergency Services remain at the scene and the neighbouring streets are currently closed.”Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
