A training programme for US troops held in Thailand saw brave contestants drink blood from decapitated cobras and guzzle tarantulas in a series of gruelling military exercises.
The annual Cobra Gold military exercise began in Thailand on Tuesday, despite concerns over the possible coronavirus threats.
Around 4,500 US armed force officers took part in a series of stomach-churning exercises designed to teach troops how to survive in extreme conditions.
Participants were challenged with the tasks of decapitating and drinking the blood of cobras, deemed a good source of hydration in the jungle.
