US President Joe Biden is due to arrive in Scotland on Monday morning ahead of the COP26 climate change conference. The White House leader will touch down in Edinburgh aboard Air Force One as the UN summit gets underway in Glasgow.
The plane will take off from Rome at 8:45am following the G20 conference and President Biden’s meeting with Pope Francis in Vatican City.
He will then disembark around 10.30am in time for a short meeting with Boris Johnson and UN secretary general Antoni Gutters.
Around 120 heads of state and government are set to attend the beginning of the COP26 talks at the SEC, Edinburgh Live reports.
