The pilot who died after a US Air Force fighter jet crashed off the north-east coast of England has been named as First Lieutenant Kenneth Allen.
The F-15C Eagle fighter jet crashed into the North Sea near Middlesbrough, northeast England yesterday, prompting a massive search operation off the Yorkshire coastline near Flamborough Head.
A statement released today by RAF Lakenheath said: "With next of kin notifications complete, we can confirm that the pilot killed in yesterday's F-15C Eagle crash was 1st Lt.
