A scam warning has been issued to anyone receiving a delivery to their homes as fraudsters impersonate DPD drivers in a bid to intercept parcels.

The new scam works as criminals use someone else's bank details to place and order for delivery to the wrong address. The cyber scammers, dressed as official delivery workers, then attempt to intercept the parcel by asking for it back.

As the occupant did not place the order, and therefore may not be expecting a delivery, they are more than likely to hand the parcel back as they assume the item was meant for someone else.

Taking to TikTok, one social media user recently shone light on the scam, explaining that many have experienced a similar situation recently, reports the Mirror.TikToker @shonelise explained that she was recently chatting on the phone with a friend who had received a parcel from Sky.
